Certificate of Residency for Community Colleges - New

Step 1 - Identify Your Township of Residence

To correctly complete the Certificate of Residency, you must list your township of residency.  This can be different than your mailing address.

If you are unsure which town you reside in, please check first with the township in which you think you reside. (Step 3 has a list of all Town Halls in Chemung County)

For easy reference, please find below the township the following Villages Reside in:

Step 2 - Application for Certificate of Residency

Knowing your township of residency, click the appropriate  "Application for Certificate of Residency" link below to complete your application.

Corning Community College ONLY - Application for Certificate of Residency

All Other Community Colleges - Application for Certificate of Residency

Step 3 - Verification of Residency

After completing the Application for Certificate of Residency, print the PDF file attached to the email and take it to the Township you reside in.

Please note the only exception to this is if you live in the City of Elmira, go directly to the: Chemung County Treasurer's Office, 320 East Market Street, Elmira, NY 14901
