Chemung County is accepting applications for the Room Tax Tourism Grant from non-profit agencies and organizations that promote and enhance tourism during the 2026 calendar year.

Eligible activities for tourism grant funding include, but are not limited to, events, festivals, and promotional materials that help attract and welcome visitors.   Funds may not be utilized for capital or infrastructure improvements.

These activities aim to boost economic activity in Chemung County by increasing overnight lodging, dining, and attraction visits, and by increasing the sale of gifts, souvenirs, and other items to tourists.

To apply, please complete an application available on the Chemung County website at forms.chemungcountyny.gov/RoomTaxGrant.   Applications must be submitted by March 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
