This morning at 11:30 a.m., a press conference will be held on the second floor of the Hazlett Building, whereupon the Executive Director of the New York State Sheriffs' Association, Peter Kehoe, will present an award to the Chemung County 911 Center for meeting the requirements of the New York State Sheriffs' Association Accreditation Program for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP). This is the first time in Chemung County's history that the 911 Center will have received accreditation status. 911 Coordinator, Douglas Houper, will be on hand to accept the award, as well as Chemung County Sheriff William Schrom and Chemung County Executive Christopher Moss.
