Economic Opportunity Program Offers FREE COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for Children Six Months to Eleven Years

 The Economic Opportunity Program (EOP), in partnership with the Chemung County Health Department, will hold a children’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The clinic will be staffed by pediatric doctors and nurses. First dose Moderna vaccines will be offered for all those six months to eleven years old. Booster Pfizer vaccines will be offered for all those five to eleven years old who are eligible. Parents must accompany and sign a consent form for minors.

 Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Walk-ins will be accepted. Register online at www.chemungcountyny.gov/covid. Patients receiving their first dose will need to return for their second dose at a follow-up clinic scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2022.

 This clinic will not ask for insurance information or charge any fee for vaccination. Ensure those vaccinated drink plenty of water and eat something before arriving at the vaccination clinic. Please bring a photo ID. Masks are required to be worn at the clinic.

 Anyone interested in starting their COVID-19 vaccination series or receiving a booster outside the six months to eleven age group can call the Chemung County Health Department at 607-737-2488 to make an appointment.
