Thumbs up John Denny served in the both the 9th and 10th US Cavalry in the Southwest.

Sgt. Denny was born in Big Flats, NY in 1846 and joined the US Army entering service in Elmira in 1867.

He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions at Las Animas Canyon, New Mexico on 18 September 1879 for extraordinary heroism while serving with Company C 9th US Cavalry. served in the both the 9th and 10th US Cavalry in the Southwest.
