Over 700 acres of protected wetland, the Catharine Creek Wildlife Management area is a large marsh located directly south of Watkins Glen. It contains a portion of the finger lakes trail and totals a few miles of hiking trails. Please note that unlike state forests, Wildlife Management areas only allow hiking on marked paths due to the protected and delicate nature of the surrounding flora and fauna.
