Purchased by NYS in 1941, this 500 acre forest was then abandoned farm fields and grasslands. It took until 1961 to begin reforestation, where more than 150,000 seedlings were planted to help create the forest that you see today. There are around 5 miles of multiuse trails available to hike, as well as ample wildlife sighting opportunities to view and you peruse the forest floor.
