Board Overview

In 1973, the Chemung County Planning Advisory Board - or Chemung County Planning Board - was appointed to advise the Planning Commissioner in matters related to comprehensive metropolitan, regional, county, and municipal planning, as established in the County Administrative Code, Section 1403.

The Chemung County Planning Board reviews certain municipal planning and zoning actions, that are referred to it following Article 12-B Section 239-m of the New York State General Municipal Law.
