The largest Wildlife Management area in New York State, Connecticut Hill WMA consists of 11,237 acres of wetlands, forests and hills in the western edge of Tompkins County. Most of the land is restricted from hiking due to the protected nature of the area, but there are a few good hiking trails that weave their way through the preserve.
