Goetchius Wetland Preserve was established in 1995 when Susan Creed and her brother Paul Geotchius donated 18 acres to the Finger Lakes Land Trust in memory of their parents. The preserve was expanded on in the following years through more land acquisitions and a restoration partnership with the Upper Susquehanna Coalition to reach its current size of 80 acres, and while there is just one small trail it does contain a bench that overlooks the wetlands and nearby Hammond Hill in the background.
